Silver tea caddy from 1729 (Middelburg)
An early silver tea caddy with floral decorations and brushes. The cap of the tea caddy is decorated with a flower. The bottom of the tea caddy is removable for allowing the bus to be filled with tea. The tea caddy is nicely marked underneath the bottom. The caddy is made by an anonymous master in Middelburg who used a makers’ mark of a bunch of grapes in a shield with the letters CL on top of it.
The tea caddy is in an excellent condition.
